About Us
Caring for those who took care of us
When a New Hampshire state canine retires, their handler assumes all care and costs. This includes food, shelter, and often extensive medical expenditures. Unlike their human counterparts, these crime fighters do not receive benefits, including medical plans, after retirement. That's where the New Hampshire Canine Troopers Association (NHCTA) comes in.
The New Hampshire Canine Troopers Association provides financial support to retired canine teams to ensure that the canines who spent their lives serving and protecting the state of New Hampshire have a happy and healthy retirement.

Our History
How do we start.......
Years ago, several handlers sat down and talked about a dream. That dream was to create an association that took care of our working K9's once they retired. With a lot of hard work from a lot of people that dream became a reality. Now once a K9 retires, they will now have medical care and benefits that they never had access to before. Lastly, because of our sponsors, volunteers, and generous donations, we can keep this dream alive!
